A traditional Inn with a vibe...

This wonderful 13th century pub was built by the Church to offer food and rest to weary travellers and to sell the beer, wine and spirits made by the Church, a practice that previously would have happened in the church itself.

Nothing much changes in this part of Devon and the weary traveller, as well as the locals can still find a warm welcome, stunning food, great ales carefully tended in our Cellar, along with a wide array of fine wines and spirits.

No, nothing much changes in these parts, 800 years and still going strong!
